About

I decided to pursue my passion- art. I put art off for the longest time, because I thought it was not for me. But I realized after praying, counsel, and shut doors that I am supposed to be in art. I graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in BFA in Art Education with all level certification.
I heard this saying: "if the path does not have obstacles, then it probably is not worth going down."
Inspired Art is my art business. I feel all my art is inspired by My Creator. I always want to give the credit back to Jesus Christ. Because I would not be here with out Him.

Teacher
As an art teacher, I want to create an inviting, friendly, fun, safe, and hands-on learning environment. I desire students to “want” to come to my art class. I use active and hands-on learning art projects and a variety of methods to encourage discussion and interaction within my art course.
I require my students to keep a sketchbook of their ideas because sketching out ideas helps with problem solving, dreaming, using the imagination, and more ideas will flow out. I treat my students as individuals, respect them, get to know them, and build relationships with them. I want my students to become independent thinkers, be more creative, and stand up for socially just causes. I use Bloom’s Taxonomy in my unit/lesson planning.
I love introducing a new project, because I demo and show them how to do it. We contemplate contemporary artists that relate to the theme or topic of that project.
